All of the sudden Gardiner hate is mind blowing to me. He's off to slow start, I think we can all agree on that, but this is the same guy that played great in playoffs and was an integral part of the future according to most Leaf fans last season. Take a breather boys, he'll bounce back. |

Dynamic talent, long term development is needed. Looked great against Boston in the playoffs. He'll be fine.
Very stupid to do a sell low trade with him. Going to be a great player. Give me a centre with top 2 line talent and we'll talk. |

It's less to do with his slow start and more the fact that the team is loaded with offensive defensemen and could swap Gardiner for an area of need, like a young tough stay-at-home defenseman or a promising forward. |

I am not sure Florida or Minny will part so easily with Gudbrandsson or Dumba. I think Gardiner is a good defenceman but still has a lot to prove. Dumba has not proven anything but there is no reason to trade him if I was Minny. And, Gud is the future #1 D man in FLA. |
